This is it, this is your sign to get married under the vast open sky, rain or shine. Conquering a mountain is a fantastic way to begin your journey. This of course, is not for everyone but if you are thinking about it, there is glory to it.

But look, if you want a church wedding, need to do it indoors, or have any sort of disability that prevents this then don't be discouraged! Real, true love, the kind of love that is a choice, is what matters not where or how you do it. It all is magical because we make the magic of our lives.
How to Get Married with just 3 People
Well it really is as simple as going to the courthouse, paying $50 to get your friend the "license" to officiate and grabbing a marriage certificate. They don't need to be a priest, minister, priestess, or anything of the sort. They can literally be your high school friend or a person you just met.
From there, they can officiate you wherever you would like as long as it is in the state that you have gotten the marriage certificate in.
With my husband going to Liberty we learned that they have a saying there, Ring by Spring. We just decided to knock it all out before Winter.

So Go forth and Get Married on a Mountain!
Growing up in the area, I had known this spot my whole life and had been there many times. I was sharing all my favorite spots and places with this wonderful man. He loved it here, playing like wild goats we leapt from rocks and pushed each other to go higher and higher. In him I saw wild freedom, someone who loved what they were seeing, someone who saw it the way I did.
I knew for certain I wanted to get married in Glasgow County. It was and is my favorite county in Virginia. It was a dream of mine to live there and maybe one day I still will. I can't explain my love for Glasgow, nestled there along the mountains, rushing rivers a stones throw away. Maybe it's because driving through Glasgow meant Natural Bridge, The Devil's Marble Yard, and access to the serenity of the Appalachian foothills.
The hike up to the rocks is something that seems like a continuous and slow uphill as you head through the deciduous trees of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Then, after working up a sweat you come to feet of a giant boulder yard. Known locally as "The Devil's Marble Yard". Do a little or do a lot, the boulder yard is tall. Practice safety and caution as rocks do slide and fall. Check the weather because coming down in the rain makes for a lot of butt sliding down rocks. We got married on December 2nd and the universe blessed us with this whole place to ourselves.

Get married on a mountain, any mountain, and you will have a spot that no one can tear down or take away forever. Specifically if it is National Forest in the USA, as it would be hard pressed for that land to be taken from the people.
Moments in Time
These days, every day with you, until the end of time are the best moments I have and will ever have.

From This Life Into Eternity
From the first day we met in Virginia I felt like my soul had known yours for centuries. That past lives existed because I have known you in every single one. This post is really just a love letter and memory keeper to the man I love. Thank you for all your hard work, the laughs, and the joy you bring me. I am looking forward to the next chapter.
Your Wife,
S. G.V.P.
