Signs of New Zealand

I really tried to photograph a documented journey of every sign, mostly related to hiking, that I could. I loved New Zealand and for some reason, while doing our 5 month van life tour, this was what I deemed truly necessary. Here, are the signs and I will provide them in the order in which they were taken. This journey started with boots on the ground on December 2nd 2022 and ended with boots in the sky on May 28th 2023. - AS of 10/19/2024 - This page is still a work in progress as a memorial to that trip!

Waitomo Walkway

An adventurous time through the farmlands and country-scape of New Zealand, like walking in The Shire.

Waitomo Caves

Waitomo Walkway and caves directional sign. This day was exceptional hot in the piercing NZ sun. A backpacker succumbed to heat exhaustion here.

Egmont National Park

Mt. Taranaki, do I need to say more? This dormant stratovolcano stands tall and mighty. It is absolutely wondrous.

Mt Damper Falls and Te Rerepahupahu

Step up and over these fences, the cows nearby will watch you as you begin your trek to the tall Damper Falls. A built wooden platform allows you to stare at all its mystery.
